Join the Licking County Emergency Center Taskforce at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church to help run the Emergency Warming Center, which provides hot meals and a safe, warm place to stay when it is 10 degree Fahrenheit or below. Highwater Church Missions Ministry will offer two Christmas gift-giving opportunities: Salvation Army – Angel tree gifts are due back to Abby by Dec 7. The Salvation Army distribution will be Dec 16-18 from 9-3pm in Newark. Reach out to Abby if you’d like to sign up to help The Village Network – We will be helping The Village Network which provides support for kids in foster care, by providing gift cards. Please get any gift cards to Abby Shipley by 12/7. Any amount is greatly appreciated!
The need continues to be great at our local food pantries. Last month, the Utica Food Pantry distribution was up more than 10% from the year before. Highwater is doing our part to help these organizations. Recently, checks were sent to the Utica Food Pantry, Licking County Food Pantry, and Licking County Coalition of Care to help with their needs. We are organizing a collection drive to support the Utica Food Pantry. A donation box will be located in the Narthex for contributions. Please deliver the requested items by November 16th. Advent begins November 30. This advent we will explore how Charles Dicken’s classic novel A Christmas Carol can help us find and embrace the hope, peace, joy and love we need now. A Christmas Carol is a story of brokenness and redemption. The beginning of the story is dark—the book opens with the words “Marley was dead.” We soon meet Marley, former partner of the main character Ebenezer Scrooge, as a ghost. Marley’s ghost promises Scrooge that a trio of ghosts will be visiting him, and the reader is to presume that none of the visits will be pleasant. Scrooge

SUNDAY NOVEMBER 23, 2025 AT 11:30AM Annual Holiday Tradition Hanging of the Greens marks the beginning of the holiday season with beautiful decorations throughout the church. We need you! All ages are welcome to join in decorating and enjoy meaningful fellowship with others from the church family.
On Sunday November 2nd, during the 10:30am service, we will honor those Saints in our lives who have gone to their eternal reward. Please submit names to be honored in the binder at church or by contacting Pastor Gladys.
The entire neighborhood is invited to join us for Trunk or Treat on October 26, 2025 at 11:30am (after the 10:30 worship service). Costumes encouraged. Adults: new this year – trunk decorating contest! The most creatively decorated trunk – as judged by the Christian Education team – will win a “fabulous” prize!
Bible Study kicks off Tuesday, October 21 – 12:30pm – We will study the scriptures from the previous Sunday.
