Denison University offers class on world religions


Denison University will offer a class on Sunday, January 8th from 3-5pm on world religions. The university has invited the youth of our church to attend. The class will be taught by Denison’s chaplain, Rev. Debbie McLemore, alone with leaders of the Buddhist and Jewish traditions. The afternoon will end with pizza and fellowship. Please sign up in the binder at church or contact Bekah Kalas.

Missions Ministry to help out Newton Elementary School


Our Missions Ministry will be helping Newton Elementary with a toiletry drive. During January, we are collecting new items for this cause. Please leave your donations in the box in the Narthex at HIghwater Church. Items suggested include: deodorant, toothpaste, toothbrush, socks, underwear for K-5 boys and girls, shampoo/soap, hair bursh, feminine products (mostly pads), Band-Aids, toilet paper, tissues, and chapstick.

On January 8th after the 10:30am service, we will be taking the Christmas decorations down. We need volunteers to help for 30-60 minutes.
