Pastor Gladys Davis called as settled pastor


The Highwater church congregation voted to call Pastor Gladys Davis as their settled pastor on May 9, 2023. She has been the Pastoral Intern since September, 2022. Thanks to all the members of the search committee and council for all the work you did over the past year.

Highwater Church schedules Clippers outing


Highwater Church will attend a Clippers game in Columbus on Saturday, July 1, at 5pm. The sign up sheet is the binder during worship services. Costs to be determned based on number attending.

WISH to meet TUESDAY, June 13 at 6:30pm


Women In Service at Highwater (WISH) will meet Monday, June 12, at 6:30pm at Highwater Church. Pastor Gladys Davis will be talking and showing pictures of her experience at PIne Ridge Reservation. All women are invited to attend. WISH will provide shredded chicken sandwiches. Please bring a side dish to share.

Life Camp VBS set for June 27-30


VBS will be offered mornings, 9 am-noon, June 27-30 at Highwater Congregational Church. The theme this year is, “Every living thing needs shelter, food, air, and water.”. June 27 – Shelter (Psalm 62:8), June 28 – Food (John 6:35), June 29 – Air (Job 33:4), June 30 – Water (John 4:14). Fred and Judy Grace will be celebrating their 60th Wedding Anniversary on Saturday, June 3, from 2-5pm in the Legg Center at Highwater Congregational Church. Casual Attire. No gifts, please. Light refreshments will ber served.

Mission’s ministry supports Vertical 196.


During May, the Highwater Church Missions Ministry have een supporting Vertical 196, Licing Couty Jail MInistries in Newark, Ohio. This is an outreach faciity that offers help with many aspects of establishing new life after release. The organization is comitted to loving people until they ask us, “Why?”. It’s at that very point that the group is truly able to point them to Christ. They believe in sharing the restorative power of Jesus. Donations mat include the following items: paper towels, toilet paper, plain powdered creamer, paper bowls, small paper plates (dessert), green beans, spaghetti sauce, individual fruit cup/apple sauce,

Congratulations Grads!


James Andrew Kalas graduates from Northridge High School and wll be attending John Carroll Univeristy to study Engineering and continue his football career. He is also going to be part of ROTC, on an Air Force Scholarship. Eliot Layman graduates from Johnstown High School and will be attendng The Ohio State University Agricultural Technical Institute in Wooster, Ohio. Lauren Layman graduated magna cum laude with a Bachelor of Science degree in Health Promotion, Nutrition and Exercise Science from The Ohio State University. Tralie Storts graduated from The Ohio State University with a Bachelor of Social Work Degeree. She plans on

Highwater Hog Roast a Success


Led by Janet and Bill Goodman, our church had a successful fund raiser for the carpet replacement in the Legg Center. Over 250 meals were served. After all bills were paid, we netted $16,070.31. Thanks to all the church members and friends who, donated items for the auction, and made desserts for the meal.

WISH II Quilt Guild will meet Wednesday, June 14, at 6:30pm in the church Narthex. Quilters gather to talk andshare the quilts they have made.
