Hog Roast Nets Over $21,000


Per Hog roast chairman, Janet Goodman, the event grossed $23,419 on April 20, 2024. Net Income was $21,505. Thanks goes to all the church volunteers, those that made or donated items for the auction, the families and friends who attended the event and especially Janet Goodman for leading the way! Money raised will fund Christian Education programs, Missions, and help pay for a new sign at the church.

Highwater Hog Roast & Auction set for April 20


Our annual community social event and fund raiser is the Hog Roast and Auction. It is scheduled for Saturday, April 20. Meals will be served beginning at 4pm. The Basket Bonanza and Auction will begin around 6pm. Volunteers are needed. Donated items for the auction are also needed. Please see Janet Goodman if you are interested in helping.

Community Drop-In Center Volunteers Needed


The Community Drop-In Center at Trinity Lutheran Church are in need of volunteers. The church is located at 592 West Main Street. The center offers a safe space for people to connect to resources. Angel Tree Tags are Missions’ Project


Salvation Army Angel Tree tags have been distributed. Gifts must be returned to the church by December 10. Salvation Army Toy Shop is lookng for volenteers December 4-15 to sort toys and prepare for distribution. If you would like to volunteer for this, please contact Abby Shipley. Toy distribution days are December 18-19. They need volunteers for those days as well. Call Abby for more details at 740-975-1209.

Women in Service at Highwater (WISH)


At their last meeting, WISH decided to match donations up to $5000 to fund the Carpet Project in the Legg Center. Once collected, we can proceed with replacing the 30 year old carpet. Please put Building fund in the memo portion of your check.

Blood Drive set for June 24


The American Red Cross will be having a Blood Drive on Saturday, June 24 from 8am – 12pm at Highwater Congregational Church. Download the App,”Blood Donor”, to sign up and do your Rapid Pass online before arrival. You may also click on the link above to register. The American Red Cross has an urgent need for blood donors. Every 2 Seconds, someone in the U.S. Needs Blood. Your Blood Donation Can Help Save Lives. Salvation Army Lunch Program

WISH to meet TUESDAY, June 13 at 6:30pm


Women In Service at Highwater (WISH) will meet Monday, June 12, at 6:30pm at Highwater Church. Pastor Gladys Davis will be talking and showing pictures of her experience at PIne Ridge Reservation. All women are invited to attend. WISH will provide shredded chicken sandwiches. Please bring a side dish to share.

Mission’s ministry supports Vertical 196.


During May, the Highwater Church Missions Ministry have een supporting Vertical 196, Licing Couty Jail MInistries in Newark, Ohio. This is an outreach faciity that offers help with many aspects of establishing new life after release. The organization is comitted to loving people until they ask us, “Why?”. It’s at that very point that the group is truly able to point them to Christ. They believe in sharing the restorative power of Jesus. Donations mat include the following items: paper towels, toilet paper, plain powdered creamer, paper bowls, small paper plates (dessert), green beans, spaghetti sauce, individual fruit cup/apple sauce,
