Christmas Day and New Years Day


There will be only one service on December 25 and January 1. Please join us in worship at 10:30am. Please note: Services will be cancelled if the is a Snow Emergency Level 2 or 3.

Christmas Eve Services are cancelled


Unfortunately, it looks like it will be too dangerous tonight to be out on the roads. As a result, our leaders have decided it is best to cancel in-person worship for both the 5:30 and 10:30 pm services. However, we will offer short lessons and a carols service streaming on Facebook at 5:30pm live from Pastor Gladys’ home. You can find us on Facebook at Highwater Church – a UCC Congregation. Set a reminder and tune in at 5:30 pm tonight to celebrate the birth of our Savior. If Licking County has returned to a Level 1 by 8am tomorrow

Dude Charities Coat Drive


The Missions ministry is organizing the Highwater Coat Drive to benefit Dude Charities Coat Drive. We will be collecting gently used or new coats, hats, socks, gloves, and hand warmers. Dude Charities will be handing these out in LIcking Cunty to the needy. Please drop all items in the box marked “COAT DRIVE” located in the Narthex at HIghwater Congregational Church. The Coat Drive will continue through December 31. For more information email Abby Shipley at abep32@hotmail.com.

WISH MEMBERS/SPOUSES TO DINE OUT


Women in Service at Highwater (WISH) will be going out for Christmas dinner on Monday, December 12. We will meet at the Red Oak Pub (250 Goose Pond Rd, Newark) at 6:30pm. Members are encouraged to bring spouses and/or friends. Please RSVP to Mary Jo Layman by Monday, December 7.

Angel Tag Gifts due back December 4


Highwater will once again be partnering with the Salvation Army to help give kids in need a good Christmas through their Angel Tree Tag program. This year we have 35 tags available. Tags will be due back to the church by December 4. Please contact Abby Shipley by email (abep32@hotmail.com) for more information.

Handbell practice begins November 20


If you would like to be in the Handbell Choir, we will have practices on November 20, 27, and December 4 at 9:45 am. No experience needed. Please contact Cathy Bero or Susan Steele. We will perform on December 4 at 10:30am service.

Community-Wide Thanksgiving Service


Central Christian Church will host a Community Wide Thanksgiving Service on Sunday, November 20, at 7:00pm. The church is located at 587 Mount Vernon Road Newark, OH 43055.

Youth Lock-In set for December 2


A youth lock-in for all ages will begin at 9:30pm December 2 and end at 9:00 am on December 3. A Sign up Sheet will be in the Binder at church. Please contact Bekah Kalas for more details.
