CONNECT Youth Group – Sunday, December 1 at 6:30pm-8:00pm at the Heath United Methodist Church. 1149 Hebron Road, Heath. CONNECT Youth is our ecumenical youth group in partnership with several Newark churches. All youth grades 6 – 12 are welcome.
Tuesday, November 12 – 6:30pm – Book Club – “The Covenant of Water” by Abraham Verghese. Usually the club meets the first Tuesday of each month, but due to the Election, we moved the meeting out a week this month. Tuesday, December 3 – 6:00 – 7:30pm – Book Club & Author Visit: Pressed Together by Kim Garree at Janine Shipley’s home. Bring a covered dish to share. We are eating dinner together. Contact the church for more information.
Tuesday December 10 – 11:00am – “Souper Tuesdays” on the 2nd Tuesday of the month from November through March. The Women in Service at Highwater (WISH) will provide a free soup lunch for all the Seniors in our community at 11:00am. Join us and invite your friends! To volunteer to prep or serve, see Janet Goodman.
Sunday, November 10 – After each service – Annual Congregational meeting.
We return to Standard Time early in the morning on Sunday November 3. Set your clocks back one hour before going to bed Saturday night.
Trunk or Treat on Sunday, October 27 after the 10:30 service. Candy donations are appreciated. Kids wear their costumes.
Our next study kicks off Thursday, October 24 at Noon, and continues weekly for the next 5 weeks. We will be studying “Reclaiming Your Joy” by Lorraine Rice. This study will have us in our Bibles a lot. Come join us! All are welcome.
Monday, October 14 – 6:30pm – Women In Service at Highwater (WISH) – All women of the church are invited to meet in the church library.
Join us on Sunday, October 13th at 10:30am as we worship with special music from the Cathedral Choir of Hyde Park Community United Methodist Church, Cincinnati. The choir of 30 singers will sing three pieces in the 10:30 am service and all are invited for a lunch following the service. Some may remember Larry McGruder, a member of the HPCUMC Cathedral Choir and childhood member of Highwater UCC.
