Hartford Fair Blessing Bags

The Membership and Outreach Ministry and the Christian Education Ministry are teaming up this year to distribute Highwater Church’s Hartford Fair Blessing Bags. The bags are filled with goodies and messages for Hartford Fair 4-H’ers. They will be passed out on Saturday, August 3, the day 4-H members move their projects to the fair. We looking for donations to fill 200 bags. Small items such as energy bars, granola bars, and hard candy are welcome. Donations from Licking Memorial Hospital (Sanitizer and Chapstick) and The Ohio State University (OSU cloth bags) have already been made. Sunscreen has also been donated

ReNew: The Green VBS

Highwater VBS will be June 24 – 28, 9am – 11:30am. Open to preschool – 5th grade. 6th grade and older are encouraged to register as Jr. Counselors. Register at: https://forms.gle/NyGDVM7rCVdyw91B8

Pentecost Sunday and Confirmation

On May 19th , our church will celebrate Pentecost. We will also celebrate our youth, Charlie Atherton and Jason Douglass, as they complete their Confirmation Class and join the church at the 10:30am service.

Hog Roast Nets Over $21,000

Per Hog roast chairman, Janet Goodman, the event grossed $23,419 on April 20, 2024. Net Income was $21,505. Thanks goes to all the church volunteers, those that made or donated items for the auction, the families and friends who attended the event and especially Janet Goodman for leading the way! Money raised will fund Christian Education programs, Missions, and help pay for a new sign at the church.

Vacation Bible School set for June 24-28

VBS is schedule for June 24-28. Grades K-5 are welcome. Older youth may serve as counselors.

Confirmation Class to meet April 21 at 4pm

On Sunday, April 21, the Confirmation Class will meet from 4-5pm. We will cover the other Faith, Traditions unit. Special guest will be Tarah Goodman

Easter Brunch and Egg Hunt on March 31

Following the 8:30am worship service on Easter, we will host an Easter Brunch at 9:30am. The annual Easter Egg Hunt is scheduled at 10:00am. If you would like to donate food for the brunch or candy and prizes for the Egg Hunt, please contact the church or sign-up in the church binder.

Youth Group to pack lunches March 24

Our Youth Group, (K-12), are meeting from 3:00 pm to 4:30pm on Sunday March 24. We will be packing up to 50 lunch sacks for the Drop-In Center. There will be other fun activities, too. Bring the whole family.

Connect Area-Wide Youth Gathering

Contact Pastor Gladys at 614-607-0682 if you are interested in attending. The Newark Area Ministerial Association is coming together for a multi-church, as well as multi-denominational, youth group. CONNECT will meet once a month to learn about each others’ understanding of God, talk about faithful life as a teenager today, and take part in the connectional nature as we learn from one another and explore the interwoven grace of the church in every place. Blessing of the Backpacks – August 20

Kids…. bring your backpacks for a special blessing on Sunday, August 20th at 9:30am. Pastor Gladys will hand out laminated backpack tags during the Worship Service.
