Ohio Star Theater in Sugarcreek in October


Twenty tickets have been reserved for the 1:00pm show. The cost is $65 per person, which includes lunch and theater tickets. We will meet at the church and carpool to Sugarcreek. Contact Kathy Preston at 740-644-2217. Please order your tickets by August 11.

Mystery Trip slated for August 20


Cindy Campbell and Patsy Farmer have promised another fun filled day on Highwater’s Annual Mystery Trip. Details will be provided on August 20… on the bus. Make checks payable to Cindy Campbell. Price per person is $90.00. Currently there is a waiting list to go.

Hartford Fair Blessing Bags


The Membership and Outreach Ministry and the Christian Education Ministry are teaming up this year to distribute Highwater Church’s Hartford Fair Blessing Bags. The bags are filled with goodies and messages for Hartford Fair 4-H’ers. They will be passed out on Saturday, August 3, the day 4-H members move their projects to the fair. We looking for donations to fill 200 bags. Small items such as energy bars, granola bars, and hard candy are welcome. Donations from Licking Memorial Hospital (Sanitizer and Chapstick) and The Ohio State University (OSU cloth bags) have already been made. Sunscreen has also been donated

Come to the fair in Croton, Ohio to family and friends. Our youth will be displaying their projects and showing their livestock.

Please have your donatons to the church by July 28. After that, please contact Janine Shipley at 740-404-8837 to make drop off arrangements.

A few volunteers are needed on Friday afternoon, August 2, to assemble the bags. We also need youth and adults to help distribute the bags at the fair on August 3. Please contact Janine if you can help.

Book club will not meet in August due to the Hartford Fair.

Our next meeting will be September 3 at 6:30pm at Highwater Congregational Church. Our book is “The Hazelbourne Ladies Motorcycle and Flying Club” by Helen Simonson.

For extra credit, we are suggestion our members reread, from 2015, “The Nightingale” by Kristin Hannah.
